Announcements Of General Interest to Coaches, Schools, and Officials

Member schools must submit announcements through the TSSAA Portal. Out-of-state parties may send announcements to tssaa@tssaa.org. Announcements will generally be posted/approved within 48 hours. Announcements are automatically removed after sixty (60) days.

NOTE: Announcements concerning play days, preseason tournaments or 7-vs-7 passing leagues/tournaments will not be posted. Also, keep in mind that TSSAA Bylaws state that all sports must practice a minimum of three (3) days from the first allowed practice date before working with another school.

Boys' Basketball
Hilton Head Island High School (Hilton Head, SC) 31 days old

Hilton Head Island High School is looking for a few more teams to participate in their Christmas Tournament, December 20– 22. Stewart Co. High School will be hosting their Christmas Tournament, December 27, 29-30. The tournament will feature an eight team bracket and there is no entry fee. Girls' Basketball
Collierville High School will host the 25th Annual Dragon Fire Invitational, December 27-30. Games will not be scheduled on December 28. The tournament is the longest tenured girls' holiday tournament in the state. Sixteen team field for girls' high school division and an eight team middle school girls' division. Collierville Middle School has an opening in the Dragon Fire Tournament, December 27-30. There will be no games played on December 28. The format is an eight team bracket with a three game guarantee. Cornerstone Christian School (San Antonio, TX) 31 days old
Cornerstone Christian School is seeking one more team to complete the 12 team field for their tournament, November 20-22.  There is a four game guarantee (two pool games and two bracket games).  The last game on Friday will start at 4:30 PM and the Championship game will start by Noon on Saturday.  Committed teams: Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio), Dripping Springs, Boerne Geneva, Canyon Lake, Brownsville Pace, Brenham, Belton, Lockhart, Montgomery, Los Fresnos, Pflugerville Connally.  If you are interested, please contact Terry Barton, (210) 289-6439 or Terry.Barton@sa-ccs.org.
Riverdale High School is hosting a Thanksgiving Shootout Tournament, November 24-26. There is a $100 entry fee, and all teams are guaranteed three games. Please contact Coach Bugg, buggj@rcschools.net or (615) 200-5498, if you would like to join the field.

Fulton High School will be hosting the following tournaments: Sports Animal Classic - March 26-28; Bob Black Memorial - April 16-18. Games will be played on turf at Christenberry Park, Helton-Ridley Field, and surrounding fields in Knoxville. Each team provides game balls. William Blount High School will be hosting their annual Easter Weekend Tournament, April 2-4, 2026, with the help of other Blount County Schools. Please contact Coach Justin Young, justin.young@blountk12.org, with questions or to register.
Girls' Softball
Henry Co. High School will be hosting the Todd Latta Memorial Softball Tournament, March 20-21, 2026. Games will be played at Henry County High School and McNeill Park. Last year's tournament included the following: Lexington, McNairy, Stewarts Creek, Huntingdon, Dresden, Lewis County, Rossview, South Gibson, Graves County (KY), Calloway County (KY} and Henry County. Boys' Golf
Wilson Central High School is hosting the Battle at the Hermitage Invitational on July 30, 2025 at The Hermitage Golf Course (General's Retreat). They currently have spots for two more teams (five boys, three girls). Tournament will be a shotgun start at 8:00 A.M. on July 30. Range balls and lunch for players included.
