Announcements Of General Interest to Coaches, Schools, and Officials

Member schools must submit announcments through the TSSAA Portal. Out-of-state parties may send announcments to tssaa@tssaa.org. Announcements will generally be posted/approved within 48 hours. Announcements are automatically removed after sixty (60) days.

NOTE: Announcements concerning play days, preseason tournaments or 7-vs-7 passing leagues/tournaments will not be posted. Also, keep in mind that TSSAA Bylaws state that all sports must practice a minimum of three (3) days from the first allowed practice date before working with another school.

Boys' Basketball
Dyer County High School is hosting a JV Tournament on January 5 and are in need of two more teams to complete the field. The tournament starts at 12 and will be done at 5:30. Heritage High School is hosting a Christmas Tournament December 20-22. There is a $200.00 entry fee. The city of Maryville, TN, is close to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (in Knoxville) and also close to a variety of tourist attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (including the theme park Dollywood). Girls' Basketball
Westview High School is still looking for a girls' team to complete the field for the Martin Lion's Club Christmas Tournament December 27-29. Please contact Coach Brian Haskins: (731) 571-4206 or brian.haskins@wcsk12tn.net.
Carkrange High School is looking for three teams to complete the field for the Clarkrange Classic April 18-20. Teams committed: Livingston, Pickett Co., and Clarkrange. No entry fee. Three game guarantee. If interested contact Coach Shayne Monday: (931) 704-2198.
East Hamilton High School is looking for a team to complete the tournament field for the New Balance Chattanooga Baseball Classic held April 11-13, 2019. The tournament will be held at East Hamilton, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Hixson, and Ooltewah. There is a four game guarantee. The entry fee is $300. Pope John Paul II High School has some slots available to participate in their Serv-Pro Classic March 19-23. For information on this tournament, contact Coach Chris Parker: chris.parker@jp2hs.org.
