Announcements Of General Interest to Coaches, Schools, and Officials

Member schools must submit announcments through the TSSAA Portal. Out-of-state parties may send announcments to tssaa@tssaa.org. Announcements will generally be posted/approved within 48 hours. Announcements are automatically removed after sixty (60) days.

NOTE: Announcements concerning play days, preseason tournaments or 7-vs-7 passing leagues/tournaments will not be posted. Also, keep in mind that TSSAA Bylaws state that all sports must practice a minimum of three (3) days from the first allowed practice date before working with another school.

Boys' Basketball
Creek Wood High School is hosting a boys varsity and JV basketball camp June 5-6. Games will be $35 each and teams can play as many games as you would like. Please contact Charles Taylor: ctaylor@dcbe.org or (615) 948-2689.

Franklin-Simpson High School (Franklin, KY) 18 days old
Franklin-Simpson High School, about 30-40 minutes north of Nashville, will host a summer basketball camp June 5-6.  They have three gyms on their campus, all within walking distance.  They will play all three levels---Fr, JV, & V.  Cost is just $30 per game.  If you are interested, please contact Coach Spencer: (615) 418-7579 or dee.spencer@simpson.kyschools.us.
Gallatin High School will be hosting their 21st Annual Boys Basketball Team Camp June 14-16. Games will be played from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, so they can meet the time frame you need. All games played according to TSSAA rules except they play four 10-minute, running time quarters (stop last 1:00) and no foul outs. They use TSSAA certified officials. Teams from all classifications/strengths, so they can meet your scheduling needs. Average over 30 schools annually. Team Fees: Varsity - $450 (three games daily, nine games total): JV/Freshman - $300 (two games daily, six games total). They can schedule more/less games/days for your team at rate of $50 per game. Karns High School will host a team camp June 6th-8th for both Varsity and JV teams. They will accept 20 teams on a first come, first serve basis. The cost is $220 for three days, or $155 for two days. These fees are being charged to pay for referees. If you would like to ref, or know of someone that would like to please contact their basketball coach, Lee Henson. Each team will play two games per day, with the option of a $35 charge for each additional game. If you have a special accommodation, they will work with that on an individual basis. Oakland High School will host their 12th Annual Boys’ Basketball Team Camp. The camp will be played at Oakland and at various campuses in the Murfreesboro area as well as Lebanon. Each session is set to begin at 8:00 AM and games will be played through 8:00 PM. They will do their best to meet all of your scheduling needs to make the camp the best camp possible for your team. They hope to have teams from all classifications compete to offer various levels of competition and styles to play against. They will only use certified TSSAA officials for all of the games. Smith County High School is hosting a boys team camp June 12-13. Cost is $300 for varsity, three games each day. JV and/or Freshman team cost is $200 for two games each day. Wayne County High School will host their Boys Basketball Team Camp June 18-21. There will be 10 Varsity games and 10 JV games guaranteed. Cost per player is $80, which includes accommodations in an air conditioned classroom as well as eight meals over your stay. Webb School of Knoxville will be hosting their 11th Annual TSSAA Official's Boys Team Camp June 2-3. Each team will play two games per day (four total), but can play additional games upon coaches request. The cost is $175 for Varsity and $175 for JV. Games will have three TSSAA officials on Friday night, 6-10 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM - 2 PM. All other games will have two TSSAA officials. Whitwell High School will be hosting a Team Camp June 5-7. Cost is $125 per day or $300 for all three days. Teams will play three varsity games per day. JV games will be an extra $30 per game. They will use TSSAA certified officials. They have two great air conditioned facilities to play in and are conveniently located off I-24 between Chattanooga and Nashville. Cumberland County High School will be hosting the 5th Annual Lady Jet Basketball Team Camp June 5-7, 2017. There will be Varsity and JV/Freshmen divisions. Cost is $35 per game - certified officials, flexible scheduling, coaches' hospitality room, and hotel discounts available. New Hopkins County Central High School (Madisonville, KY) 37 hours old
Hopkins County Central High School is hosting a camp June 17.  We are located less than one hour north of Clarksville, TN.  Cost is $30 per game for Varsity and $25 per game for JV.  You can play as many games as you would like.  Please contact Coach Todd Webb: (270) 799-6070 if you are interested.
Lebanon High School will host their annual summer team camp June 11-13. Over 50 Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams competed from 26 different schools last year. Northwest Whitfield High School (Tunnel Hill, GA) 29 days old

Northwest Whitfield High School will be hosting their 6th Annual Girls Basketball Team Camp June 19-21, 2017.  They will have a Varsity and JV Division and the cost is $35 per game.  They will use certified officials and all games will be played on their campus or next door at their Middle School gym.  If you are interested please contact Greg Brown: greg.brown@wcsga.net.

Ravenwood High School will host their 3rd annual summer team camp June 12-14. Over 50 Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams attended last summer. Their camp is very affordable and unique! The first two days of camp are pool play, followed by a single elimination tournament the last day of camp. South-Doyle High School will be hosting their Lady Cherokees Team Camp, May 30-June 1, for varsity and junior varsity teams. Each team will play two games per day. Smith County High School is hosting their 4th Annual Middle School Team Camp June 7-9 for boys and girls teams, varsity and junior varsity. Team fee is $150 for six guaranteed games - two games each day, $150 for each team you bring. Wayne County High School and Waynesboro Middle School School will be hosting their 18th Annual Mid-South Hoops Camp for Middle School Boys and Girls Teams May 31 - June 3. In order for TMSAA member schools to participate, they must be finished with the 2016-17 school year.  The cost for the camp is $200 which guarantees eight games.
