Announcements Of General Interest to Coaches, Schools, and Officials

Member schools must submit announcements through the TSSAA Portal. Out-of-state parties may send announcements to tssaa@tssaa.org. Announcements will generally be posted/approved within 48 hours. Announcements are automatically removed after sixty (60) days.

NOTE: Announcements concerning play days, preseason tournaments or 7-vs-7 passing leagues/tournaments will not be posted. Also, keep in mind that TSSAA Bylaws state that all sports must practice a minimum of three (3) days from the first allowed practice date before working with another school.

James Lawson High School, a state-of-the-art $152 million dollar school opened in August 2023, has an immediate need for a certified PE teacher and possibly another teacher certified teacher in ANY subject. There are both offensive and defensive staff possibilities for remainder of this season and beyond. Local certified candidates are priority since this in an immediate need. St. George's Independent School is seeking a few Middle School coaches for the 2025 season. Positions can vary depending on experience. They split their middle school program into a 5th & 6th grade team and a 7th & 8th grade team. Candidates will have coaching experience. An ideal candidate will be a varsity level coach or former varsity level coach who would like to continue teaching the game but would like to enjoy a somewhat less hectic schedule. Girls' Basketball
Hamilton High School is seeking a Head Girls' Basketball Coach. The coach will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program for high school girls. Plan and lead practices, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Communicate with the Athletic Director and assist with coordinating game schedules, transportation, and team events. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes character, discipline, and respect. Collaborate with other coaches, teachers, and parents to support student-athletes. Applicants must possess a passion for coaching and working with high school students. Knowledge of NFHS and TSSAA basketball rules, techniques, and strategies. Previous coaching experience preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Must be a MSCS employee. Craigmont High School is looking for a softball coach with preferred, but not limited to, core (English, Science, Math, Spanish) endorsements. This position will include a coaching stipend. Demands of the coaching position include physical ability to lead/demonstrate drills during practice, teach proper techniques in strength and conditioning, oversee and monitor the academic success of athletes and the ability to transport self to/from games.
