Announcements Of General Interest to Coaches, Schools, and Officials
Member schools must submit announcements through the TSSAA Portal. Out-of-state parties may send announcements to email@example.com. Announcements will generally be posted/approved within 48 hours. Announcements are automatically removed after sixty (60) days.
NOTE: Announcements concerning play days, preseason tournaments or 7-vs-7 passing leagues/tournaments will not be posted. Also, keep in mind that TSSAA Bylaws state that all sports must practice a minimum of three (3) days from the first allowed practice date before working with another school.
Hewitt-Trussville High School has an opening for a Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coach. Candidates will be determined by available teaching positions. Hewitt-Trussville is a public school located just outside of Birmingham, AL. They participate in the largest classification of the AHSAA. Poplar Grove Middle School is seeking a Head Girls' Volleyball Coach. At the present time, there is not a teaching position open. The position does earn a very competitive stipend. Accredited Interscholastic Coaching Certification is preferred. CPR certification is required as is completion of the TSSAA concussion education program. Duties would include: day to day running of the volleyball program, fundraising for various aspects of the program, academic and character development of the students involved in the program, adherence to the athletic code of conduct as well as implementation of a volleyball program specific, rules and expectations.
